Madrichol

Our Madrichol program is for our Hebrew High religious school students who are in 8th–12th grade and have shown a degree of responsibility and interest in working with our students. These Hebrew High students may apply to work in the classroom as an educational assistant in our Sunday morning religious school program or Wednesday afternoon Hebrew school program.

Madrichol are trained and supervised during religious school through meetings and observations. Madrichol assist in the instructional process as needed by the teacher, offering students individualized attention when needed. This can be either a paid or volunteer position. All madrichol receive community service credit, a small stipend (unless they choose to volunteer their time), and are eligible for annual raises. For more information on becoming a madrich, or to sign up for the program, please contact Madi Pimentel Diaz at madi@tbetacoma.org.

Beth El Temple Youth

BETY (Beth El Temple Youth) is our youth group where tweens and teens can have fun and be Jewish together.

BETY is the place to be if you love adventure, cooking, learning, hiking and more, with regular events, social gatherings, and service opportunities. BETY provides you with opportunities to engage in leadership, and to help engage our youth presence at temple.

We have monthly, in-person gatherings, including game nights for the entire community. For questions, please contact our youth advisor, Lana Prager, at lanamprager@gmail.com
