Tacoma Jewish Community Fund, a network community of the Jewish Federations of North America, raises funds for Jewish philanthropy, supporting Israel, Jewish organizations, and projects locally, regionally, and worldwide.

Tacoma-Kiryat Motzkin Sister City plans several activities each year. Past activities have included a film and food festival and the sponsorship of a visiting group of Israeli dancers. Future activities may include a tour of Israel and a music festival.

JGSWS helps its members find their Jewish family roots. It holds monthly meetings with guest lecturers, and sponsors workshops. JGSWS offers programs for beginners as well as seasoned researchers. Recent topics included immigration records, Jewish given names, forensic genealogy, genealogical research on the Internet, how to find an ancestral town, and how to create a family health portrait.
