The Brotman Early Learning Center believes that all children are unique individuals who learn best through play and exploration. Licensed and up and running since September 8, 2015, the Brotman Early Learning Center is located at Temple Beth El on South 12th Street, directly across from TCC.

We provide a secure, nurturing, and creative environment where all children build a foundation of self-confidence and a love of learning.

Our developmentally appropriate program teaches Jewish values and incorporates Jewish traditions into the daily lives of the children. Our classrooms are guided by the principles of Emergent Curriculum. This means that we encourage learning activities that emerge out of each child’s interests, actions, or life events.

The Brotman Early Learning Center provides:

  • Enrollment for children ages 6 weeks through 5 years. Full time and part time options are available.
  • Open 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM, year round.
  • Healthy and nutritional meals and snacks (vegetarian menu) included.
  • Four classrooms with all new, child-focused materials and equipment. Indoor and outdoor play areas, including a garden for children to explore.
  • Excellent child to staff ratios.

Christina Roppolo

Christina Roppolo is the director at Brotman Early Learning Center (BELC). The best part of her job is getting to know all of the BELC kiddos and their families. She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Rich, for almost 22 years and they have four kiddos together, including Miss Ashleigh (infant room teacher) and Miss Kylie (summer float teacher). They also have a new puppy, Maggie, who people may have seen visiting in the office. Also living rent free in their home are two chinchillas, Sophie and Chloe. Christina was born and raised in Maryland, and after a couple of stops in Colorado and South Carolina, she and her family landed in Gig Harbor in 2016. In her off time, you can find her working in her yard, looking for a beach somewhere, or hiding with a good book.
